The K Standard: What Makes a Keanis Piece Different

The K Standard is our promise that every Keanis piece is made with clarity, intention and integrity. From solid 18K gold and PT950 platinum to carefully selected stones, trusted certification and refined craftsmanship, it defines the details we never compromise on — so you can understand what sits beneath the surface, and choose jewellery with confidence.

The K Standard: What Makes a Keanis Piece Different

Why the K Standard matters?

Luxury is knowing what you’re paying for. A beautiful piece of jewellery should feel effortless to love. Choosing it should feel just as clear.

Fine jewellery can feel overwhelming — metals to compare, certifications to understand, diamond grades to decode, and prices that are not always easy to explain.

That is why we created The K Standard.

Every Keanis piece must meet The K Standard: our promise of carefully chosen materials, intentionally selected stones, trusted certification, and craftsmanship details we never overlook.

So you can understand what sits beneath the surface, and choose with confidence.

Because luxury is not about spending more.
Luxury is knowing what you are paying for.

The K Standard

The K Standard defines the quality behind every Keanis piece. It brings together the materials, stones, certification and craftsmanship we believe fine jewellery should be built on — from solid 18K gold and PT950 platinum to carefully selected diamonds and gemstones, trusted IGI certification where applicable, and thoughtful details made to last.

01 Precious Metal

Only 18K Gold or PT950 Platinum

We use solid 18K gold or PT950 platinum for our fine jewellery — never 9K or 14K.

These metals are chosen for their purity, strength and lasting beauty, making each Keanis piece suitable for everyday wear and long-term meaning.

Why it matters: The metal matters, especially for jewellery designed to be worn for years.

Learn more: Read our guide to 18K gold and platinum.

02 Trusted Certification

IGI Certified, Assured

Certification gives you clarity.

For our lab-grown diamond pieces, each centre stone of 0.7 carat or above comes with an independent IGI Laboratory-Grown Diamond Report, providing a professional assessment of the diamond’s cut, colour, clarity and carat weight.

For selected coloured gemstones, an IGI Colored Stone Report is also provided when the gemstone meets our dimension or diameter threshold.

For selected Keanis signature pieces, an IGI Jewelry Report may also be provided, offering independent verification of the finished piece.

Why it matters: True brilliance deserves more than beauty. It deserves proof.

03 Lab Diamond Quality

Diamonds Chosen with Intention

We do not believe in endless tiers that make choosing feel more confusing.

Instead, we curate diamonds to meet clear Keanis standards for brilliance, beauty and long-term wear.

Our diamond grades include:

Exquisite: D / IF
Signature: D / VVS2
Refined: E / VS2

Each grade is selected to offer a refined balance of colour, clarity and value.

Why it matters: A diamond should not only meet a certificate. It should earn its place.

Learn more: Read our guide to choosing lab-grown diamonds.

04 Loose Stone Quality

Even the Smallest Stones Shine with Integrity.

The smallest details often reveal the greatest integrity.

Many jewellery pieces focus only on the centre stone. At Keanis, even the smallest stones are selected with care.

Our accent diamonds are selected for full brilliant cut with 57–58 facets, D–E colour, and VVS–VS clarity.

No corners cut.
No brilliance spared.

Why it matters: Every stone matters — not only the one at the centre.

05 Lab gemstone quality

Gemstones with True-to-Nature Beauty

Our coloured gemstones are chosen for hue, depth, character and harmony within the design.

At Keanis, we are drawn to true-to-nature beauty — stones with natural depth, subtle character and a lifelike glow. Not overly perfect. Not synthetic in tone. But radiant, refined and full of feeling.

For selected gemstones, an IGI Colored Stone Report is provided when the stone meets our dimension or diameter threshold.

Why it matters: A gemstone should not simply add colour. It should bring character.

06 band width & thickness

Crafted for Strength

A Keanis piece should feel delicate, but never fragile.

Every ring is crafted with thoughtful proportion, from the band width and setting structure to the way it feels on the hand. We consider strength, comfort and balance in every design, so each piece feels beautiful from the first wear and dependable for every wear after.

Why it matters: Fine jewellery should be elegant enough to treasure, and strong enough to live in.

07

The Art of Precision

Every Keanis piece is crafted with patience and precision.

From delicate milgrain textures to the smallest setting detail, our craftsmanship is designed to feel refined, considered and deeply personal.

We believe fine jewellery should not only look beautiful from a distance. It should reward a closer look.

Why it matters: The smallest details often define the feeling of the whole piece.

More about Keanis jewellery pieces

  • Lab-grown diamonds are certified and graded using the same rigorous standards applied to natural diamonds. Leading gemological laboratories in the lab-grown sector, like IGI (International Gemological Institute), issue grading reports that assess the diamond based on its carat, colour, clarity, and cut to ensure consistency and transparency.

Each grading report clearly states that the diamond is laboratory-grown and also identifies the method of formation, whether it was created using High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) or Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD). The report will also disclose if any post-growth treatments have been applied to the diamond, or note if a treatment status could not be determined.

IGI laser-inscribes each lab-grown diamond with “LABGROWN” to help distinguish it from natural stones. In terms of documentation, IGI offers both digital and printed grading reports. These confirm the diamond’s quality, specifications, and lab-grown origin — giving you full confidence in your stone’s authenticity and characteristics.

  • Yes — all of our diamonds and gemstones are lab-grown. They offer the same beauty, brilliance, and durability as natural stones, but are created with greater transparency and minimal environmental impact. Most come with IGI certification for added peace of mind.

To learn more about the lab-grown gemstones we use, please visit our Guides.

  • Yes. Lab-grown diamonds are officially recognised as real diamonds by leading international standards. In 2018, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) revised its definition of “diamond” to include lab-grown diamonds — acknowledging that they are chemically and physically identical to mined diamonds. This recognition has since shaped the global jewellery industry’s standards, making lab-grown diamonds not just accepted, but celebrated for their beauty, integrity, and innovation.

  • We work exclusively with Platinum 950 and 18K gold — precious metals that meet the highest standards of fine jewellery craftsmanship. There are no shortcuts or plated alternatives in our pieces. We also offer signature two‑tone designs, crafted from solid 18K yellow gold and 18K white gold.

Learn more in our Precious Metal Guide.

  • Yes — both platinum 950 and 18K gold are durable enough for everyday wear, especially when cared for properly. Each metal ages beautifully with time, developing natural marks that add character.

For care tips, visit our Jewellery Care Guide for simple steps to keep your pieces looking their best.

  • The value increases with purity. 9K gold contains just 37.5% gold, 14K has 58.5%, and 18K gold contains 75% pure gold — giving it a richer hue and superior long-term durability. 18K gold is typically around twice the value of 9K gold.

While the price difference is significant, many brands sell 9K or 14K gold at prices comparable to our 18K gold pieces. At Keanis, we believe in offering true value through higher standards in craftsmanship and materials.

  • We strongly recommend independent certification for significant centrepieces and higher-value designs. For these prominent stones, certification offers independent verification of both quality and authenticity, helping you make informed decisions with complete confidence.

Without certification, it can be difficult to distinguish between genuine gemstones and simulants — stones that may look similar but lack the same composition, value, or durability. Some are marketed under misleading names that confuse even well-intentioned buyers.

At Keanis, we provide IGI certification for qualifying diamonds, coloured gemstones, and multi-stone jewellery, so you’ll always know exactly what you’re getting — and why it’s worth treasuring.

  • Lab-grown diamonds are typically laser-inscribed with their IGI report number along the girdle for traceability and assurance. However, coloured gemstones — such as emeralds, sapphires, and rubies — are rarely inscribed, as the process is more delicate and not commonly applied.

If you'd like to confirm the stone, it's common practice to cross-check that the stone's specifications match the details listed on the certificate.
